About the Statue of Unity

The Statue of Unity was inaugurated on 31 Oc
tober 2018, on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. The statue is located on the banks of the Sardar Sarovar Dam and is the tallest statue in the world with a height of 182 meters. The design was prepared by the famous sculptor Ram V. Sutar. Steel, concrete and bronze have been used for the construction of the statue and the cost of the entire project is approximately ₹3,000 crore.
